The Many Valuable Benefits of Reiki
Posted on Thu, 13 November 2014
Reiki is a very simple hands-on healing process that triggers the body’s natural healing abilities. This ancient and beautiful Japanese practice is one of the oldest healing systems around, using energy to balance the body and mind, often producing profound effects.
At Acorn to Oak we teach all levels of Reiki, providing training courses for those looking to using it as a self-healing tool, or to treat family and friends – Reiki I; to offer treatments as Reiki practitioners – Reiki II; or to follow our Reiki Master & Teacher Pathway, during which you will learn all aspects of energetic healing and attain a high level of energetic management, as well as being equipped to teach Reiki to others.

Miracle Worker
Posted on Fri, 3 October 2014
Arnica Montana is one of the best-known homeopathic remedies. It has been used for several trials to demonstrate the effect of homeopathic remedies on bruising and trauma. Indeed some plastic surgeons swear by it for reducing bruising after cosmetic surgery. Many people are “converted” to the homeopathic cause after seeing spectacular results with this humble herb.
Arnica – the plant
Arnica montana is an alpine plant, growing in nutrient-poor soil. It can potentially reach a height of up to 60cm, but this is unusual given the harsh conditions at high altitudes. It grows in meadows up to 3,000 metres above sea level, where it is exposed to strong sunlight. The higher the altitude, the more aromatic the plant will become. It is found throughout Europe, but nowadays it is more common to see hybrids of Arnica rather than the pure species growing wild. The natural habitat has...Read More

Advanced Energy Techniques
Posted on Tue, 23 September 2014
I had the great pleasure of hosting another brilliant weekend for our Reiki Master Students – Advanced Energy Techniques – I really enjoy being a part of it. It’s a residential course from Friday evening to Sunday late afternoon, this year we stayed just outside Frome in a complex of cottages with a games room and indoor swimming pool which added to its charm.
We spent Saturday in and around Glastonbury, starting by climbing the Tor to investigate Ley Lines and the students received their first Reiki Master Attunement (Luckily for us it was a fine day with some great views). We then had brunch in Glastonbury where we discovery the regular, big or bigger full breakfast options! Following brunch we visited the Abbey for more ‘tuning in’ and ‘energy sensing’ which always is an interesting mix of high and low vibration and insights.
Early afternoon we...Read More
