My experience with Breath4LifeTM Breath Work By Tina Lews

Pennie ask me to write a blog about my experiences with Breath4LifeTM Breath Work because I had asked what I could do to help with Pennie’s vision of getting Breath4LifeTM Breath Work out to people who really need to know that there is a therapy that really works. My name is Tina and I’m 26yrs old and have been struggling with depression, anxiety and problems with eating since I was 13 years. A friend of the family told me a little bit about her experience of Breath4LifeTM Breath Work – so I thought I’d give it a try- I felt it was my last hope really – I’ve been through counselling and the CBT route, which I felt was like trying to stick a plaster over a gaping wound – not much good in my opinion. Psychotherapy also didn’t do it for me and my psychiatrist a waste of space quite frankly all he wanted to do was get my diagnosis right!
So I went along to see Pennie, no really knowing what to expect and not really convinced that it would work. When she opened the door I felt I’d come to the right place…She was welcoming and relaxed, her smile is infectious and reaches her eyes making them sparkle and alive, I felt an instant connection. The kettle was put on as she chatted about my journey, once we each got a drink we moved through to her consulting room, which is her sitting room, after the stuffiness of other therapy rooms I found this really relaxing and homily.
The 1st session with Pennie is for 2.5hrs. In the first 30 minutes she takes details and explains the process of Breath4LifeTM Breath Work and lets you know what you are likely to experience. She then makes you comfortable with a blanket and pillows, you can either lay on the floor or coach. Before you start to breathe Pennie leads you through a relaxation technique and visualisation to help you relax more, then she coaches as you start the breath work session. The breath used is simple, quite gentle, but incredible. It’s really difficult to explain, it’s amazing – like taking a journey. I found it tough at the beginning, but soon got into it. It’s like your mind turns into a movie screen, seeing images of memories, colours and other stuff. Pennie coaches to keep the breath moving so you can raise the vibration of old stuck memories and feelings so that they shift and re-integrate back into your energy body. This is great cos as Pennie explains you can then access this energy as a resource rather than have it weigh you down.
At the end of a session you get time to chat with Pennie again when she makes you another hot drink – the biscuits are great too! And there is a chance to ask questions and talk about what happen in your session…it’s a great opportunity to ask for feedback and discuss anything you want, Pennie is certainly someone who has lived a diverse and amazing life and her knowledge and wisdom is unpanelled
I’ve noticed big changes in my life since I started using Breath4LifeTM Breath Work. The morning after my 1st session I woke up without the knot of anxiety in my stomach which I’d had every day since I was 13years old and by the end of the week I realised I had more energy and clarity of thought than I ever remember having…I was stunned and decided to go back for more.
I’ve been using Breath4LifeTM Breath Work twice a month now for just over 10 months. I never felt better than I do now…it’s wicked…I’ve put on 2 stone in weight, so I’m 8.7 stone now, full of energy and making healthy choices around food and exercise. I’ve changed my job and moved out of living with Mum and Dad’s. I know that I’m going to go on and experience an extraordinary life thanks to Pennie, Acorn to Oak and Breath4LifeTM Breath Work, I know Pennie would say ‘thanks for that, however most of all due to yourself and your commitment to change’. Yes, it has taken commitment, time and money, but it’s been worth every penny and more because I feel so much better and freer than I thought possible. So if you are questioning life, feeling like it’s all too much trouble, helpless or alone then do yourself a favour and contact Pennie or Acorn to oak – there is help out there. I wish you luck with your journey
